“Best one month well spent, he taught me what money was all about and how to work on my business”- Creative Director/Founder of @ahdookeh Mrs Morenikeji.
(She is a fashionpreneur who runs a one stop fashion store that makes every woman feel special in their outfit. She specializes in ready to wear and made to measure).
When I asked Mr. Olaoluwa Olorunnisomo for the 30-day consultancy service for SMEs I was at the brink of mental and business collapse.
My life revolved around me working on my business, running helter-skelter to find meaning to all the noise. Mr. Olaoluwa Olorunnisomo came in and dissected my business process step by step. He analyzed and put into place the necessary systems needed.
“ Today, I am clear on what to do since my time with the business coach. I have diversified my ideas instead of an export based business” – Laolu Yaniv Bamgboye.
(He’s an entrepreneur who is passionate about agricultural commodities export) . I started my entrepreneurial journey a couple of years ago and mostly in partnerships but I pulled out to stand alone – of course I knew it wasn’t going to to be a smooth ride especially with a banking background, I had an idea on what I wanted. The essence of engaging the Business coach was to unlearn old business habits, learn the right strategies and reconfigure my mind set – and more importantly hear the hard words.
At that time, my main business focus was AgriCommodities export – something I was passionate about. One phrase that OO said that stuck with me till date is – PASSION WON’T FEED YOU OR PAY THE BILLS. The business struggled, with irregular cash flow cycles, unregulated market space and unreliable 3rd party suppliers….the business encountered a lot of setbacks. What I got from the service.
CLARITY, FOCUS, ACCOUNTABILITY
These are some of the many benefits of my time with OO, my company Sixt5Commodities has 3 main focus now: AgroCommodities Export (we now process goods for other exporters), Bulk food distribution/retail business and Integrated farming (50% ready). Also to cushion the unstable nature of the agribusiness sphere, we have started a logistics business – bike delivery and interstate haulage.
For any aspiring entrepreneur, I totally recommend you speak with Olaolu – though he’s my namesake, he didn’t mince words telling me the truth. And as a business person, you need the hard truth to avert the painful lessons. He is an interesting gentleman too with a good sense of humor.
