As an entrepreneur, as a business owner, you definitely have tight schedules. You are busy and have a lot to do. You sometimes get lost on your busy schedule. This is why you need to incorporate mindfulness so that you can dominate your day.
So how can you dominate your day, how can you incorporate mindfulness into your tight schedule?
1. When you wake up in the morning, avoid touching your phone for the first 15 - 30 minutes.
Most times, you are always tempted to quickly check your social media(Instagram, Twitter, Whatsapp). But you see when you start your day that way, you have already lost touch, you can’t dominate your day because you have already been hooked to too much information and you are not in tune with yourself.
So when you wake up in the morning, make sure you don’t touch your phone for the first 15 to 30 minutes to make sure that you spend that time to be in tune with yourself.
2. You should have mindfulness on your commute to work
Your commute to work take a chunk of your time in the day, especially for people that stay in what i call the Big and Mega cities, London, New York, Lagos. If you stay in any of these cities, you can spend at least two hours in traffic. So what do you do at that moment? Do you take advantage of that commute time?
You can decide to apply some mindfulness into this period. It is really important you take advantage of this time.
3. You need to apply mindfulness when you are in line or queue
You go to the supermarket or the ATM machine or you get in a line to get food, why don’t you use this period for mindfulness, why don’t use this period to get in tune with yourself. You should incorporate mindfulness to that time when you are in a queue.
Think of the things that are stressing you at the moment, and how you can solve them.

4. You need to apply mindfulness during your break at work
Break time is a good time to incorporate mindfulness, it is not the time to hang out with friends and colleagues and get burnt out from talking and non-stop conversations.
But it is the perfect time to reflect on yourself and know how you are feeling at the moment. Time to calibrate and focus on what you need to do and have your own time.
